Prime 4 2.3.0 new beatjump feature doesn't remember after loading new track

Don’t know if this is by design but it kind of negates the usefulness of this feature. I would like to use beat jump to quickly lay down hot cues in new songs or to skip mainly 64 beats every single time because I spin music that follows this format. When I use shift+beat skip to set the amount to be skipped to my preferred 64 beats it works fine until loading a new song onto that deck then it resets to 4 beats.

You can find predefinable Settings under: User Profile → CUES/LOOPS:

  • Default Loop Size
  • Default Beat Jump Size

And yes: it seems that these definitions are refreshed by every song-load.

i kinda got used to the old way to turn the knob to assign the length.

also it was very handy that the size refreshes again by every song-load.

might revert to previous version of engine on my prime 4 again because i just don’t like it.

been trying to get it work in my workflow but it just seems to be a bit too counteractive.

Have you set the beat jump and loop options to “None”? It will not have a memory if this is selected.

Setting the default beat jump to none in settings and adjusting it every time the player starts up seems to be the work around. Bummer you can’t set it to 64 in the default beatjump setting. The longest loop/beatjump is 64 and a commonly used one in edm. I dunno why it’s not settable in settings. Wonder if denon will add this down the line.
