Hello,

I wanted to share my feedback about my first use of this SC I personally am happy to have it :blush: Engine OS is really powerful and simple to use (OS based on Buildroot so Linux)

About soundcard Port is USB 3 and native (no need to have drivers for the soundcard and automatically Detected on Windows)

If USB 3 is fully used, this mean latency will be close to 0 without any additional settings :grin:

So i simply changed the source audio on the System Tray for Prime 2 and tested with Serato DJ Pro => it’s working but no detection about jogs, buttons and other hardware functions

What I can say about this part is I strongly think it is possible to write a driver in order to detect functions as MIDI (this is possible only if USB port include Inputs / Outputs functions can be found by using some tools)

I tested Virtual DJ to see how it work and react I personally don’t like this software but finding a Serato skin made me felt better :joy:

Virtual DJ detect soundcard as ASIO (I hate ASIO :rofl: ) Even if I have a powerful spec (RF551 ROG, I7, 16gb DDR3, 500gb SSD + 1to SSD, Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M, M-SATA SSD not used) the software still heavy and i feel unstable

Using internal OS Engine with internal SSD for all House music and computer for only generalist music i the way I want to use my standalone device and hope i can find the best equivalent

To finish, I am really impressed about this product and say Thanks to Denon for having make it (I can also add they made something in advance of time in comparaison of Pioneer (USB 3, many ports to play with many other DJ)

A little cons Jog sensibility is not adjustable on OS Engine and should be really great for DJ who want to set how Jog work

Tried for the first time Virtual DJ a DJ friend and colleague lend me

Not bad since last time I tested it but still not good enough in comparison of SDP or Traktor

Some useless features i tried to hide but still present Finally found a Serato DJ Pro skin and found something really close to what i wanted to have :grin:

Using PRIME 2 with VDJ is not bad and latency is really nice (default value) I will try to have a better setting about latency but I personally not confident on ASIO

Finally really appreciate Prime 2 and a really excellent hardware quality I was just surprised to see we can’t switch from computer to internal without cut sound and finally stay on computer mode

Prime 2 screen is really excellent but i have to be careful with computer mode i had sometime a loop by touching screen :sweat_smile:

CPU charge looks fine and no issue with VDJ in general use in the whole night (from 22h00 up to 4h30)

You can change this in the settings cant you? mine is on medium.

Are you saying you DJ from a laptop without having power to the laptop? thats a dangerous game to play in a professional environment, you should always have mains power to your computer.

Wow, I always have 2 batteries pack and 2 power supply for my laptop I never go to a professional environment without this requirement If my explanation meant the contrary, I am sorry

About Jog sensibility, I didn’t find option in the menu and for the moment, I take usual the default Jog sensibility

I cant remember the exact location, and its different depending on which firmware version you are using but there is definitely an option to change it.

Ok, I currently have the last fw revision from the OTA update so the 2.1.2 if I am correct

Engine automatically change language to my country but I can change it for English

I just checked the manual and its called ‘nudge sensitivity’ in the settings panel.

Hello

Another mix day for a professional event

Virtual DJ crashed before begin my set without any reason and make the PRIME 2 reboot

After this, no issue but had sometimes micro cuts (like sync between hardware and computer needed to be sync)

0.2 seconds cut, no lose of the mix but frustrating :thinking:

From the first event where i didn’t had this sound micro cut, I suspect about the place with their cables (XLR but cable where fixed with electric domino)

Also downloaded PRIME 2 skin for VDJJ but not working at all (the only way is to download from VDJ software and must appear in the interface section) => maybe a bad skin (I mean, bad configuration on the skin file side)

About sound, I currently continue to learn VDJ setup for the P2 and still don’t have bass, medium and highs function => I will check on YT about this point even if I can perform changes on the computer

About Sound cut issue and USB sync loss it’s now fixed by making a new computer

The current I used have a poor USB 3 hardware (for a ROG it’s a shame :joy:)

Virtual DJ software have a crappy sound management for high, medium and bass but can be fixed

No issues with the new update

AMD X570? There were several bios updates on the subject needed.

Bios is not the cause but USB 3 controller

My last analysis showed that controller is a false 3.0

Fir a gaming machine this is really a shame
