The problem seems to be that it plays the sound from the Denon player in the headset no matter if the cue is on or not and the knob can be both down on master or cue. It still plays the sound of the Denon player. I have not tried this with speakers.
Can You give more details on this? Maybe record a video.
I will try, but not sure how easy it is to show when its just in my headset.
As easy as possible explained:
- I have no cue on, just master. I have 1 denon sc6000 playing, pressing play on 1 CDJ 3000 while dragging fader from top to bottom on the sc6000 player. The cdj 3000 goes into a loop and i press play on cdj 3000 (2). I still hear the sc6000 player playing in my in-hear-monitors.
Ill try record it later/tomorrow.
How are you connecting the decks to the mixer. Ethernet or rca?
Ethernet does not transmit any audio. Needs to be digital or analog rca.
@stAMy Can You break it down in to steps maybe? Still it looks like something is missing in your info. Hard to reproduce Your workflow. Try to keep it as detailed as possible. Every button push, fader knob turn, etc…
Ok.
-
i start with 3 faders up on 100% since im practicing a mashup. Only 1 player is playing in the beginning. Thats the sc6000.
-
i reach a point in the song where i start to add reverb to the sc6000 player. This is channel 4
-
I reach a point in the song where i will drag down the fader of the sc6000 and press a hot cue at cdj 3000 player at same time. The cdj 3000 is channel 2.
-
The (1)CDJ 3000 player plays 1 bar and i press play at the (2) CDJ 3000 which is on channel 3.
-
I play around 4 bars on (2) cdj 3000 before i press another hot cue on the (1) cdj 3000. When 1 bar is played I drag fader 2 down as well and only faded 3 is up.
-
From point 3 i still can hear the sc6000. No cue buttons is pressed (cue for sound).
I’m only supposed to hear the master/where the faders are up during this transition. My assumption is that the mixer recognize the sc6000 as master, even tho the cdj 3000 claims to be the master.
When I first noticed this I restarted the mixer and it stopped doing it but only for a minute since I kept repeating the transition (practice purposes) and then it happened again.
And that fader is completely fown? What is the position of the mixing knob? CUE buttons are all OFF? Did You tried to repeat the same mix when SC6000 would be connected on channel 1 instead of channel 4? Maybe the fader is bleeding sound (faulty fader)?
The master/slave has completely nothing to do here. Mixer does not do anything with this information, specially from CDJ’s, that run a completely different protocol. SC6000 is connected via LAN cable to the mixer? If not, then the mixer will not know about it’s existence at all. Anyway this will not add anything to your issue.
Mixing knob is all 12 clock (if you mean low mid high). All cue buttons are off all the time and no player is connected to mixer with LAN cable.
I think this is @NoiseRiser is refering to
I had that one 12 clock which indicates master sound when no cues are on
Lol. That is exactly why the question is relevant. How are you connected to the mixer?
Ethernet cable will not provide any audio signal. Info about ethernet cables will not bring anything to solve the problem.
RCA from players to mixer. Ethernet is only to link USB info
Analog or digital or both ways? How does the connection look like?
Its the default ones that comes with the players. Red and white Into «Line» on the mixer red and white.
Unless hes trying to lan the cdj 3000s. Its called the Process of elimination my brother.
@DjDuctape What Pioneer does with ProLink will not be “seen” by a DenonDJ mixer. Even if they’d sent audio over it.
Ethernet on the X18xx mixers is only relevant for Engine Connect info. OP states he has an audio problem, so ethernet is ruled out already.
@NoiseRiser Is this perhaps an “auto pre-listen Layer A audio on Layer B” mixup?
I was trying to get that info too. But so far, OP provided only this info that we see…
I don’t know what that means. Please can you bright out? I’ll try record a video as soon as I get home today
