Hi, I have a problem with the play button on the Denon SC6000. Sometimes when I start the track with the play button it stops immediately after as if I stopped it. The software is updated to the latest version and it does this both with Beatport Link and with a USB stick.
I have the same problem with one of my sc6000ms and I think it might be going bad.
Time to change the microswitch under the button.

Could it be a hardware or software problem?
My money is on hardware. As @SlayForMoney said, Microswitch is likely the culprit. This is what I need to do with my own deck that is having issues.
same problem here, but it occurs only sporadically… very annoying tho if you want to hit start with the channel open already…
if its new, sent it back and use the warranty.
This definitely sounds like a broken switch, that triggers some faulty signals.
Those little switches are sturdy but they will break after a while, this is why they are constantly switched on CDJs that are used in clubs/festivals even before they are broken. Easy and fast fix. They can also break if you hit them with to much force, which i see constantly DJs doing, like the “ultra power upfader Super Saiyan move” and than wondering why the fader broke. Not that i say you did that, but i repaired a couple play buttons from friends, that have that “extra hard” button trigger. Or its just a faulty switch, which can happen. Saw it on many products out of the box, no matter what industry.
