AI-accelerated reverse engineering is certainly gaining momentum these days.
Checking the projectās GitHub repository revealed that the RX3 is also equipped with an RK3288, which explains why this port could be accomplished with relative ease.
Someone reverse engineer OneLibrary and letās get performance library unified across all platforms
I pretty sure team Denon is on that one ![]()
I hope youāre the one guiding them then ![]()
Yea, this is just the tip of the iceberg..
He just released his custom firmware for the XDJ-AZ that adds live stems and more. You can find it on GitHub (completely free).
At first I thought this was a deep fake as Iām sure every single one of you guys reading this will as well but the first version just dropped today.. ![]()
Letās hope this triggers more effective release policies and activity at the closed software vendors. Sure you cannot compare experimental software with production-grade. However the community activity show again and again what can be done at what previously unbelievable pace.. āsimpleā features should not take years.. feature gating aint working anymore since controllers..
Interesting movement to follow for sure.
Jaibreaking XDJs ![]()
The lenghts DJs will go through just not to buy a DenonDJ Engine deviceā¦
iPhone 4 jailbreak vibes (good old times), where the hardware was cool and premium, but the OS left much to be desired.
Well, there seems to be people running RekordBox on the SC Live 4, so maybe those people will actually start buying Denon gear? ![]()
reason people are going jailbreak on those controller ,because the feature they ask for the company does not deliver those feature
Agreed,
Plus!! Itās not that the XDJ-AZ processing canāt handle on the fly live STEMS. As seen above this is now reality..
The real reason why you will āNEVERā see a standalone all in one āreleasedā by Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta anytime soon is the fact that they own Recordbox.
They want to keep giving their user base a major reason (STEMS) to keep using and paying for it.
Simple as that.
Everything currently circulating regarding pre-rendered stems on Pioneer/AT gearāand this Rekordbox port on the SC Live 4ārelies solely on pre-rendered stems.
The hardware performs no calculations, audio processing, or separation tasks.
It simply plays back four stems per deck simultaneously, which you can enable or disable as you please.
It is essentially nothing more than multi-track playbackāa relatively basic task that isnāt CPU-intensive for any hardware released in the last eight years.
It is exactly the same process as triggering four samples simultaneously on a sampler.
That is why even hardware based on the RK3288 chip can handle pre-rendered stems perfectly well.
You could even try loading eight tracks onto your sampler pads alongside tracks on your decks, and youāll see the hardware plays them back without issue (even if the resulting sound is an awful mess).
I still have to give credit where due, I could never code anything like that.. Not in a million years.. Definitely some wasted talent going on there IMO.
I do agree, May not be the best option but could be considered the simplest.. Yes, itās just running separate tracks.
I still feel the AZās processor is not a slouch though.. I thought I saw someone mention 4GB ram? Not sure of the exact processor. Perhaps someone can chime in more on that.
I remember not too long ago we were all using crates full of acapella & instrumental tracks to simulate something similar.. ![]()
I guess whereās thereās a will thereās will always be a way. ![]()
Nothing is going to touch what the Denon DJ standalone units can do right now.
Again, Still a clever workaround. ![]()
The AZās processor is likely an ARM chip roughly equivalent to the RK3399āplacing it somewhere between our older RK3288 and the new RK3588 found in the RS1/P4G2.
So, Iād say 4GB seems very plausible with an RK3399āmore so than 2GB, given that we already had that with the RK3288.
