I’m a Brazilian DJ with 24 years of career. Beyond performing, I also run a DJ school, where I’ve already trained more than 100 students, and I own a DJ agency with 13 DJs on our roster.
Last year I bought two pieces of equipment — a Prime 4+ and a Prime Go+ — and I’ve been having so much fun with this gear. I play a lot, around 250 to 300 gigs a year, and this year alone I’ve already played more than 150 times so far. These two are my main setups, but I also have 5 more.
About 15 days ago, I did the last update. I had actually been putting it off for a while due to lack of time, and when I finally did it, I got a really big scare — I thought the equipment was having a problem. I felt really bad and honestly scared, because I was afraid of being without my gear for a long time. This fear comes from the fact that we don’t have any authorized technical assistance here in Brazil, so if something goes wrong, I don’t really have anywhere to turn.
This matters beyond just me: through my agency and school, I’m in touch with a whole community of DJs interested in this market and in your equipment. Several of them are genuinely interested in buying, but some have held back specifically because of the lack of authorized technical support here.
So I wanted to ask: do you guys have any plans to set up an authorized service center in Brazil? It’s a huge market, and I believe this would be excellent for us as users, but also for the company — it would build credibility and, as a result, boost sales.
From now on, I’m putting myself at your disposal for any contact, to help build a bridge with business owners and store/technical assistance owners focused on sound and DJ equipment, so you can effectively get established here. And if that’s not something you’re looking into right now, that’s okay too — but if you ever need someone who’s always playing out to test new updates, software, or new equipment, I’m available for that as well.
