Hi, First Post! I just bought a prime 4+ and previously (Pioneer user for around last 10 years) used the DDJRX with rekordbox. In RB I often used the drop-down menu which listed the playlists that the selected song appears in…So each event I’ve done I saved the history as a playlist. So to jog my memory I could click the drop-down, then see a list of events, I’ll remember a good event and see which songs I played before and after at that event. Is there an equivalent feature in Engine or a work around? I thought if I searched for a track then the playlists might appear in the search results but that isn’t the case. Maybe this could be a new feature to add? Thanks

Phps the item “History” will solve your request. Imo you can export it into a “playlist”
If you rework your gig with DENON DJ (item 2) you can export it into a *csv file by a right tick with your mouse.

Hmm. I haven’t had a chance to try it as I’m camping but thanks for replying. Although I don’t think this is what I was looking for, unless I misunderstood.

Hi Iggy, I think I have a solution for what you need, after a gig connect your drive back to the computer, then use sync manager to sync the data back to the desktop app, then you can use the history icon in the left panel of engine desktop. Find your set in there then right click and ‘import as playlist’… try this and see if its doing what you need.
That’s pretty much the same as what Beatmaster is suggesting.

Here’s a short video of the feature I’m looking for. I never really have a pre-arranged playlist so it helps me think of what to play next. I have a requests list but nothing is set in stone. Sometimes I need inspiration.
Thanks for making that video to show us what you mean, I’m 99% sure this feature doesn’t exist in Engine DJ but I think it’d make a great feature request. A way to see every playlist and history list that a song is in would be very useful.

It is very useful. I use this feature at least ten times every event. It may even be the deal-breaker which makes me stay with RB and sell the Prime 4+. I’ll try not using it this Saturday, (as I’m still using RB at events ATM), see how I get on.
Maybe it’ll force me to use my memory

Did you try my workaround to see if it is suitable? Doing it in the desktop app after a gig

I think your idea is a great workaround, and I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read and reply, thanks STU-C. But the search needs to be done at the gig whilst I’m DJing. And the whole point of buying the Prime 4+ was so that I could leave my laptop behind. If I was going to have to take my laptop I might as well stick with RB. Maybe until this feature is implemented into Engine (if it is) I’ll use my Prime but also have my laptop with me just for those searches. Hmm. Maybe I could use an iPad for the searches? That might be better than a laptop.

Your original post doesn’t imply that though, it says you want to save your ‘history’ as a playlist for use at future events, unless im missing something here?
