Sadly this little 4.0 feature isn’t available on the numark mixstream devices
Here’s a picture of Phil from digital dj tips showing the layout with the search all or playlist option & a picture of my mixstream pro go with the option missing.
I’ve seen the same WiFi issue pop up a day or so ago in the forum. Another user has posted that. I’m not sure if they got a resolution for it.
As for the searching. Are you within a playlist when you start a search? Looking at your screen, how many tracks do you have to be able to search though?
When I bought my mixstream pro go it came on 3.0, the last stable update was 3.2 for me, as I said 3.3 to 4.0 caused wifi issues.
I’ve also read about this wifi bug happening to others reported on this forum going back years on random equipment & random updates, (as far back as 2020 on OS 2.something) so there’s got to be a hidden bug in the software somewhere affecting random people.
I did manage to get it working again on 3.4 for a little while but again when I turned on my pro go to update to 4.0 it was disabled again.
Regarding the search function as you can see my playlist is currently empty after a factory reset trying to get wifi working, however I have a usb with about 2000 tracks on, but as I said the search function only searches your playlist on 4.0 with the mixstream pro go, you don’t get the option to search all library or current playlist as in the picture I posted of Phil with his device which seems odd.
I think I’ve misinterpreted what he means, I bet this option only shows for people who have multiple playlist, whereas I only had 1 playlist. Still find it odd you can search your usb drive though.
Currently in the process of creating a few playlists with engine dj on windows ready to sync over so I’ll check after, however the search function is the least of my worries at the moment.
Wifi toggle stuck off (not responding, greyed out), will not turn on (green) same issues I spoke to you about before regarding 3.4 in another post but managed to get it working but now none of them are working from 3.3 onwards again.
When downgrading to 3.2 it automatically enables & I’m free to turn it off/on whenever I like.
The second it reboots after any update from 3.3 onwards it’s automatically disabled & won’t let you turn it on.
As I said before update 3.3 & above contain a new controller version 1.0.0.1.1, I’m starting to wonder if there’s a bug in it that’s not in 1.0.0.1.0.
But that doesn’t seem to correspond with people reporting the same issues over the years on different hardware at various software updates, so I’m at a loss.
The only thing ive found on mine is that sometimes the button doesnt activate straight away and i either have to press it a few times to get it to turn on (the touch area must be quite small) or i have to press it then wait a period before it actually activates.
No, not even factory resetting after update brings the toggle back to life, but as soon as you downgrade back to 3.2 (controller version 1.0.0.1.0) it turns on automatically without the need to restart or reset.
As I said I’ve tried all 3 methods & removed any drives before starting the update procedure.
On another note, the search function works as it should, it was to do with having multiple playlist.
Sorry to hear. At this point, your best bet is probably getting in touch with customer support about the wifi issue. They may have a few additional trouble shooting steps up their sleeve.
Already have, reported a ticket to numark this morning currently waiting on a reply, still strange how this is happening to random people on random devices though. If the wifi module was faulty then it wouldn’t work on any os version, just seems strange that 3.2 is working perfectly & 3.3, 3.4 & 4.0 isn’t.
A part may have changed somewhere along the way, its only in certain devices etc.
Bear in mind that the vast majority of people using these devices will never update them, so likely will never see the issue, there are also a large portion of people who just wont use wifi either, i never turned mine on for months because i didn’t need to, it was only when i started updating over wifi that i did.
I know what you mean, I prefer to have files on usb over streaming content but I’m currently using 3 months free amazon music & once that’s finished I got 2 months free beatport or beatsource to use up, which is all pointless on a wifi enabled battery powered streaming controller if the wifi doesn’t work.
All I’m doing for now is I’ve got 3.2 on usb ready to downgrade whenever I feel like streaming some tunes, then I’ll update to 4.0 if I want to use the new features when mixing from a usb file source.
Here’s a report from a user on reddit who had the same issue 8 months ago on his prime 4, strangely enough he had problems with 3.2 which is stable for me
