No lights when playing an autoplaylist

Hi everyone, Is it normal that no lights come on when playing an autoplaylist on the Prime 4 via SoundSwitch— even though autoscripting is enabled for my songs?

Hi, autoplay isn’t available on Prime devices. Please explain in more detail.

Autoplaylist is currently named “playlist deck”.

Hi everyone, I recently used my Prime 4 at a garden party and played a playlist using the Playlist Player (Deck 4). I noticed that when playing in Autoplay mode, the lighting control via SoundSwitch didn’t work, even though all my songs are scripted. It wasn’t until I switched back to single-deck mode that the lighting control worked perfectly again. I don’t think it’s good if the lighting control is only available in single mode. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this, or if there’s a setting or option for it?

Hello, this feature is intended for a different room, so the Soundswitch deck is ignored because only the main room is lit up. Please refer to the manual for your Prime device for more information. As I said, there is no autoplay function in Prime devices. You can load a playlist onto a deck and then play all the tracks in the playlist—similar to “play next song”—but no transitions or similar effects are applied here. If the track ends with 10 seconds of silence, that is played back as is. But the lighting works here as well.

Playlist deck is also available on my mixstream pro. Yet there isnt an option to send the stream to another room. So that reasoning is a bit weird to me.

I agree with you, there should be a setting where you can allow soundswich to run from playlist if you like.

We need a feature request board for soundswitch!!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the feedback and feature request. Unfortunately Engine Lighting does not currently support the playlist deck this is something we would like to support in future releases. In the meantime, if you do need Engine Lighting while playing tracks from a specific playlist, we suggest loading the track to a deck and using Continue Mode, as this correctly supports lighting.
