New Prime Hardware on the Horizon?

True, but who cares at the garden anyway about the latency?

I feel that the prime gear owners got left out.

I bought my unit when it was 6 months old just to find out now my 5000m is discontinued after a year and a half in it’s life. That’s awesome!

Consolidation prize: prime units will evolve regardless of the product status. Ok that’s cool but are you gonna let me beat grid my tracks on the unit since I will no longer be using a laptop? I’m looking to eliminate the laptop totally. Can denon units work with all features on their engine os without a laptop? NO.

I want standalone without a laptop but in order to use all features on denon standalone units I need a laptop.

Also I wanted to expand my prime set up. Has anything been offered to expand the setup. Of course you can, as long as you use the only 1 mixer we give you.

I like my sc5000m but can I expand it? Not yet as of now.

A 2ch prime mixer would of been the gateway for me.

I know what I do as a performer is unique cause I’m not really a dj. I used to be but I’ve grown out of it.

Denon released good gear but the embrace the future part that’s good for noobs but I can make any gear look good.

My future is expandability. Can I expand when the only option is a x1850 mixer?

It’s been a pretty interesting namm this year for me.

I don’t understand why a 2 channel mixer is needed, to be honest. Can you pls explain why you think one would be good, for my own personal education?

I will show you when I get home. My x600 fits in my backpack with a mic, headphones, loopstation, and a newly added Akai amx. Most of my side income comes mostly from pa in the winter and outdoor parties in the summer.

The prime go was a good addition I admit and I’m thinking of trading in my 5000m for it but right now I gonna be looking for IPad solutions cause a free app you can beatgrid on but a $2000k standalone unit you can’t

Because it’s simpler, its affordable and sometimes not need to much.

The X1800 is by no means portable at all - a 2 CH mixer would be much smaller, so much more portable - thats a good point. I didn’t ever consider that.

Just a little rant

I’m glad for denon doing all they can to topple the status quo so to speak and I’m am glad that many new users will come over to the dark side :slightly_smiling_face:. But be careful that the current user base is not exhausted. They wanted add ons and they wanted software and OS updates for namm also. Maybe next year:rofl:

I’d rather be on the Denon side than the Pioneer - at least we got new tech to look at - sure, it might not have been exactly what we all wanted, but its a darn sight better than what the Pioneer guys 'n gals have got to get excited about - at least from what I have read so far.

Update 01/13: Denon killed it with that portable battery operated controller. If no major issues, that will be your bread and butter device. I’ll be keeping my eye on it. Nice work Denon!

Yes, even my thoughts. I’m quite impressed about the massiv line-up Denon has presented the last days, and the tech features of the new stuff are great. But where the hell is a sampler or remix station?!? For me that’s really a thing of massively extended creativity and fun, a must have (of course not for every DJ)! Prime 2 is slim and smart and will find its users - but the price is actually a little too high, and Baby Prime is simply a toy. I guess a well developed toy that will do what it’s been designed for, but still a toy I definitely don’t need and won’t buy. But I’m obviously not target group.

And I would have preferred an extra hot maximum featured mixer (even at a higher price!) instead of that toy(s), but the “strategic analysts” have heard about market shares and so…

deep sigh okay, the first “6” of the 62G6MX is still missing and hope never dies, but if I think about Denon and availability and when that shiny new gems in fact could be at my home I’ll have to wait for the innovations the AlphaTheta (what a… name) will offer for the usual outrageous price.

Still exciting to see what will come next!

No, the first 6 is the SC6000.

6 - SC6000

2 - Prime 2

G - Prime Go

6M - SC6000M

X - X1850

Nonono, Denon would no never do that to me: Every single character stands for a new device, and they held back the absolutely overwhelming and most innovative part of their new line-up for the big presentation at NAMM. Just to keep tension and stay surprising. I’m absolutely sure, Sir, I… fear you are right. I remember having heard sth. like that on youtube but repressed it.

Man, that marketing s… really gets on my nerves. It’s seriously like Mark Settle told on his website: Announce the new stuff, launch it a few days later and two weeks more I want to see my postman delivering my hot new toys. It could be that simple because anything else bores, makes guys like me thinking about alternatives und causes complaints in forums like this…

If the SC6000M wouldn’t be that nice (deep sigh)…

The Prime GO is brilliant. However, the price is too high that it is not a controller.

$500-$700 Range and it flies off the shelf.

Just an idea… I refined my SC6000 Sampler idea, and here is a new render:

Less buttons (mostly not needed for fast performance), added Rane 72 style FX paddle and Touch screen FX trigger button. Added Dry/Wet knob.

It can be any price that it wants to be.

As it’s unique

A Remix station - effects processor, sampler, looper, sequencer. Complete performance device.

that would be so ******* amazing!!

Hit the nail right bang smack on the head there.
