I’m new to this. but just a question. . Do I need to purchase Denon Hardware to control the Engine Software (completely) cause It does not fully function using an Akai MPK 249. it only plays portions of the beat but can’t use the effect features like scratch or reverse. It also does not connect to my Traktor Kontrol S3 DJ.

The Engine software (assuming you mean Engine DJ librarian) is not performance software, so doesn’t support control from DJ hardware, music keyboards etc.

You’re going to end up with the same or less useful information than before, but not more useful information on consensus tallying or discussions with this new system. And with a bunch of wasted time and effort.
