New Denon standalone controller?

I don’t think there’s much to say is there? Nobody knows if there is one on its way or not, at least not publicly.

The 4+ is still relatively new, so doubt that’ll be replaced any time soon. But then again, who knows?

Relatively new with a chip from 2019 and literally no new features compared to the original lol

A chip from 2019? You’re being kind, the RK3288 chip technology dates back to 2014 in terms of design.

Reloop are the most interesting company at that event, bite me.

The P4+ is basically a P4 with slightly adjusted aesthetics and updated Bluetooth + DRM, otherwise it’s the good old (with emphasis on good) P4, which is indeed based on the technology of the SC5000 decks, that are based on the RK3288 chip from 2014. The chip was never overwhelming, but the dev team did a seriously good job in squeezing every bit of juice out of it, which is something I acknowledge, some minor bugs or unfilled feature requests aside (we got them all for free - and now look at that ‘other brand’ lol)

So yeah, it’s slowly getting time, and I rather wonder, what will come first - a SC7000 to send a stronger signal towards the venue business, or a “Prime (whatever number)” representing their bestseller unit. Or maybe both together? Who knows. The Live III just got released, and considering inMusic brands share certain core components (which is good)… well, just do the math.

Actually I am more curious about another device *looks over to my Akai Force* - this is the only product which never got an iterative hardware update at all since its release 2019. Prime units, SC decks, Go, Mixstreams, One, Live, X, they all received “mid-term” updates. Very curious what will happen here, and if my Force ever sees an offspring at all. After all, the greatly updated Live III now partially takes over the role (64 pad zones, step sequencer, clip launching).

Exciting times, that’s for sure!

News incoming!! Hope to see an xdj700 competitor

What news incoming?

Got the idea they are announcing something at wedj based on the image posted above

It reads like more of an education/networking event than anything to do with launching gear. They are focusing on inclusivity and offering workshops for learning.

The only ‘new’ part seems to be new partners are invited to the show, with InMusic being one of them.

Edit: the Sunday we love 45s day with the RP7s sounds epic, there’ll be some real talent on display there. I follow those guys on socials and they are great.

I’m in London currently, might check that out.

inMusic/Denon DJ stopped playing that money losing game of trade shows and DJ showcases years ago. That AD money & rep greasing is pumped back into R&D, as it should be. These dog & pony shows are money losers.

Guerilla marketing ftw. that’s what they should be doing. Just my $2.00 (had to increase from $.02 due to inflation :sob:)

My Prime 4 is being picked up on Saturday, as I’ve sold it, and I have several events lined up in December. I could manage with an SC6000 I own and a mixer while I wait for Denon to say something about a new standalone controller to replace the Prime 4/4+

Bold move!

Excellent :grin::grin::grin:

Finally, I just bought a Denon Prime 4 Plus White Edition because I have quite a few dates booked starting tonight and I needed a mixer.
