$2000 per channel
$200 per eq control
$4000 for a bouncy LED VU meter (coz they know everyone buys puoneer for the pretty colours )
$400 per usb socket
$700 per usb socket if you want their rare ones which donāt crumble into the casing after 30 events
djm-v5 3 channels
I can see the V5 nomenclature but where are you seeing the 3 channels?
they say it in the comments on reddit
Ah fair enough. Interested to see what it actually is.
In what comments? Links help people follow what youāre saying. ![]()
I dug a bit deeper into the FCC documents that were released. Hereās what I read from the technical documents (only a few are available), specifically the FCC test configuration diagram:
The new mixer will be called DJM-V5, which also corresponds to the new FCC-iD 2AM73-0005
3x (only!) channels, each line/phono
1x MIC input
Multi-IO Send/Return (apparently only for the master)
Rec-Out / Booth / Master
LAN
2x USB ports
Some NFC functionality (no details)
Nothing too spectacular, if you ask me ![]()
In essence, half of the V10?
The third channel will probably be an aux channel, similar to the DJM 450
I think its more likely to be half of a V10, so 3 dedicated channels.
Which sounds legit. A four deck layout is the festival standard, most clubs iāve encountered have three CDJās.
There seems to be a culture of ridiculing 3 channel stuff these days, the Reloop FLux being another example⦠but for most creative DJs its the perfect setup, 2 primary turntables then a 3rd one for acapellas/loops etc. All this āi need 4 decksā nonsense is largely waffle, 99.9% of the time peddled by people who offer zero evidence they actually DJ, let alone with 4 decks.
I absolutely agree! But remember that the main reason the club standard has become 4 decks is because the DN2000F came in a two player housing. (And it didnāt make any sense to have a DN2000F and a DN1000F combined.)

Moin @STU-C ,
I handled 3 turntables since 1977.
United turntables (4 turntables, or like Prime 4 / 4+) I often use āand this sometimes is my life beltā I load the running track a second time and look up the proper hotcue for the outro!
Or I use all four platters for sampling like āChici Chic Ah Ahā from Poussez, āIāll do anything for youā from Crownhieightās Affair, or the Intro (like it like thatā from House Sound Megamix, or the sound of NomadeāS āDevotionā and so on.
I think, you have enough phantasy (your own, not from Bruni), to create your own samplings.
Try it out or better enjoy the day brgds BeatMaster
Yeah i understand where the 4 channels can be useful, i just think its a massively overstated āneedā in modern DJing, where 3 is more than enough for someone who wants to expand their mixing skills.
We also have samplers now for one shots etc, not the greatest in Engine OS as we speak but other software they are pretty powerful.
Itās not a need at all, though it does open up loads of creativity.
DMC champions demonstrate that a ton of creativity can be expressed using two channels so ⦠![]()
I think too many noobs are seeing what is in place at these large events and assuming you need to have a 4 deck setup⦠of course its nice and having all your club mixer channels filled is useful for quick layering etc.
Back when I/Many of us here started 3 decks was the kind of next move in your creative journey.
When the Flux came out there were hundreds of comments about how much of a fail it is for having āonly 3 channelsā, which is a bit of a joke imo.
