Tis the season again. I wonder what weāll be seeing this year? I have a feeling that AI will be dominating this one.
Any predictions?
Leeks?
Will Inmusic be there?
Looking at that screenshot, itās not looking likely that thereāll be an InMusic presence.
Hopefully some new DJ mixers coming to the market soon.
What conference hasnāt AI dominated in recent years? ![]()
of course a new Denon DJ Mixer and maybe an Akai MPC X MK II are on my wish list.
I already saw it on the map before I started the topic. Thereās a lot of private meeting rooms around the inmusic lot btw.
Denon will probably focus on and showcase the Go+, P4+ and Engineās steams. If they come out with something new then we already know it will be a + version of something.
Im not sure what else there is that can āblow my head upā left to implement on a dj device?
If its VR, then no thanks. A mixer with integrated DVS might turn my head.
Prime 4 with DVS for control of the 2nd layers would be cool. Hell I would love DVS control of the 2nd layers of the SC6000ās too ![]()
Translated: "Weāre starting a 2025 full of surprises, weāre looking forward to showing you everything we have in hand, we donāt know when yet, but we assure you that the day you see everything thatās coming, it will blow your mind!
Happy New Year to all of you who remain loyal to the brand and betting on us, this year weāre not going to disappoint you.
Letās go for 2025!!!"
Canāt wait!!!
Is this Denon DJ Spain an official account? It doesnāt seem like it from the way that was worded. I appreciate thereās a translation quirk but still, it sounds like a fan account but I could be wrong.
InMusic Europe is in the UK with a German office too. It doesnāt seem right to me but what do I know? Could it be Gaplasa Pro the distributor?
I didnāt think that each country have its own social media account so it could be a distributor doing their own thing.
This is why I wait for official word.
This is a Facebook page created by the official Denon & Denon DJ Spanish distributor. I guess something more than us users should know!
All Iām hoping for is a possible refresh for the standalone (non all in one) products like the sc/lc 6000 and a new x1850 mixer of sorts
I hope for an Engine OS HID + DVS 7" screen 2ch mixer and a 10"screen 4ch mixer.
Booth with Pad section.
You can use them in standalone mode or with LC6000 and/or turntable ![]()
same ,i feel super excited for the new denon dj gear
I predict a new turntable from Reloop. Something to replace the Rp 8000mk2. It might even steal some features from the pioneer plx crss12.
I also predict that Denon will release the replacement for the sc6000/m and x1850 mixer.
The deck to mixer link will be significantly improved to implement new features such as showing the waveform of the other decks on the decks.
One I can think of right off the bat is that thereāll be a stems switch on eq section to control stems that are playing from the deck provided that you buy the stems license.
Basically the decks and mixer will be controllers for each other.
Another one I can think of is the improvement of engine lighting.
I donāt think the quality of the mixer will be any good though.
A replacement for the SC6000/M (or any other hardware running EngineOS) would probably herald the launch of a new hardware platform.
The current platform based on Rockchip RK3288 is now aging and certainly reaching its technical limits.
Of course Denon Dj/In Music could always make improvements or implement requests for relatively low-resource features, such as waveform color customization or that sort of thing.
But for more complex features that require computing power, such as real-time stem separation, or dynamic BPM detection algorithms like Djay Proās fluid Beatgrid I think we are starting to reach the limits of the current architecture.
To be honest I canāt imagine Denon DJ introducing any new model whatsoever still using an architecture that is now almost 10 years old. I think that if they were to present something, it would probably be the first unit of a completely new series of devices based on a completely new architecture that is much more powerful, like the Sc5000 was in 2017.
And who says new architecture, potentially says a new operating system or, at the very least, an evolution of Engine OS to support this new architecture.
If this is the case, it seems obvious that the development teams will concentrate all their efforts on this new architecture and on this upgrade of Engine OS. This would logically mean that they will probably gradually abandon the development of Engine OS on the current architecture, in the same way that they abandoned the development of the OS for the MCX8000 which used an even older architecture.
Iām not sure that InMusic has the manpower to develop a new architecture while continuing to develop and upgrade Engine OS on the old platform. Iām also not sure that even if they did it would make financial sense for the company.
All this to say that if new hardware is introduced that is significantly more powerful than anything currently in the product line, it would mean that we should expect our current units to no longer be supported and not get any major feature additions for some time.
I should point out that this is just my personal analysis, all of this is of course hypothetical
