My sclive4 freezes when playing live

Hi, since two or three updates ago my Sclive4 with Virtual DJ freeze for about 10 seconds. When I’ve been playing for a while, the sclive stops Music and doesn’t do anything, and then it starts playing again on its own. I’ve tried going back to previous versions. I’ve tried several computers, i’ve tried change the wire but there’s no solución.

If the session is long, it can happen two or three times. I use it for weddings and events, and for me, using Virtual DJ is very convenient because it uses stems without having to analyze the songs, because I use Tidal, and Engine stems don’t work with Tidal. This is really inconvenient for me, and the audience has already complained to me several times.

Anyone else having the same problem? Is there a solution? If I can’t fix it, I’ll have to sell my Sclive and buy another one that doesn’t crash, and I don’t think it’s a Denon. I’m a big Denon fan. At home, I use two SC6000s and an 1850x, which aren’t suitable for events due to poor portability. With my old ddj1000 I never had any problems.

Hi,

I had a similar problem with my Prime2. I also use my Denon and Pioneer AZ exclusively with VDJ. This software is mercilessly superior to both Rekordbox and Engine DJ. I’ve been doing regular events for a few years now, for which I also have regular DJs. I can’t do everything.

For me, it was the fan in the Prime2. Under VDJ, I suddenly noticed brief freezing. But when I used the Prime as a standalone, it completely froze after a fairly short time.

I don’t know if the SC also has a fan, but I assume that’s the case. To do this, I removed the “computer” in the Prime and completely removed the original fan and its plate. The new fan is now glued to the side, and I soldered it to the 12V constant current. It’s now clearly audible, but that doesn’t matter at all given the volume at the events.

By the way, my preferred hardware is, don’t laugh, the Lenovo Legion GO, but without the gaming controllers. It has super low latency, and with a 2GB NVMe drive, it has more than enough space for music. The rather small monitor doesn’t bother me, since I and my colleagues only use the Prime/Pioneer AZ display anyway.

I have the same problem with both the SC Live 4 and the Numark Mixstreem Pro Go. It seems to be the shoddy driver supplied by denon as it also happens on Serato as well as Virtual DJ on my Powerfull laptop with Discreet Nvidia Graphics (which I use for real time Stems). on my laptop with just intel graphics and no discreete graphics I have no problems with stuttering.

When using Pioneer gear on both my laptops there is no problem with sound stopping just on EnjineDJ controlers. I have read on other problems that denons audio driver has problems with latency when using Nivida graphics..

Denon should fix their awfull driver to eliminate the latency problems when using windows and nvidia.

Sure could use my laptop with just Intel graphics but then I lose real time stems this is unaceptable.

Also ASIO4ALL also exibits the same problems with denon and numarks controlers (even so latency is unaceptable with ASIO4ALL anyway).
