Will there be a way to display the genre information of tracks on the Denon Prime 4 Plus?
Hi
ill fire my device up in a little while, but what does the sort options look like? if you sort by genre does it then display it in the menu?
My solution is to have my playlists curated by genre.
You can also set up smart folders by genre which works well.
This is the quirk with the Engine OS on the Prime (etc) devices…
Certain info only becomes visible if you opt to “search by” it using the menu, which then inevitably means certain other info disappears.
Many users have requested improvement to metadata display over the years since the products were released…
Yeah, I’d love to have a field where it showed Genre, Comment, or Play Count.
Currently the only way of viewing that information (genre & comment) is available when you long press on a track in the playlist
I use Serato and Rekordbox. I bought the prime 4 plus, so that I would not need to rely on a computer at my gigs. There are some features that I find useful, which I cannot see in the engine OS. What about allowing the user to define which attributes are displayed? Example: Title, artist, tempo, key, genre… I would like to be able to customize what I see.
Believe me it’s been requested. Multiple posts by multiple users over the years. Instead, I feel that Denon DJ are taking steps back with the GUI and UX.
