Thanks for your help .
Hi Chris, Happy New Year.
Where did you get the device from? if its still in warranty you should be able to get your retailer to return it for repair. If not then a local DJ store might be able to point you in the right direction for a repair. Someone else might be able to chime in with the repair process and if its easy to do DIY (it might be like a car speaker where you can just unscrew it and swap out, but not sure)
My overall advice on this would be to invest in some half decent speakers and use those instead as those built in ones are ok for messing about with but never going to do a serious job. Even some KRK’s or other budget level monitors will provide you with a much better sound, or even just plugging in to a hifi system if you have one.
Hey Chris, If your midstream pro is still covered by warranty, this is the best way to go. I’d you are searching for a minimum cost solution, I would suggest to confirm the speaker as faulty. Do external speakers work on left and right channel? If you are capable and willing to open your unit, you could swap left and right speaker and check if the speaker is broken. If the left side remains silent, it will be a more expensive repair as an electric component has to be found that is faulty.
