Mixstream Pro has WiFi but basically no internet after update – time stuck, nothing works

Hey guys,

I’m honestly losing my mind over this and hoping someone here has seen something similar.

My Mixstream Pro started acting weird after I updated to Engine OS 5.0.2. At first it had some freezing/reboot issues, so I did a factory reset… and that’s when everything completely broke.

Now it’s in this super strange state:

  • WiFi connects fine (gets IP, shows connected)
  • Timezone is correct
  • BUT the system time is wrong and won’t update at all (stuck in the wrong year)
  • And because of that, basically anything that needs internet just doesn’t work

TIDAL login fails, Engine login fails, updates fail… it just acts like there’s no internet even though it’s clearly connected.

I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of:

  • factory reset multiple times
  • different WiFi networks
  • phone hotspot
  • changing DNS
  • updating to 5.0.3 via USB
  • even tried USB-to-Ethernet

Nothing changed.

What’s confusing is it really doesn’t feel like a network issue. It feels more like the device can’t sync time, and because the time is wrong, it refuses to talk to any servers.

So it’s kind of stuck in a loop:

wrong time → can’t connect properly → can’t fix time

After the reset it actually got worse, like it lost the ability to recover completely.

At this point I’m starting to think 5.0.2 broke something deeper (time sync? certificates? idk), and normal firmware updates don’t fix it.

Has ANYONE run into this before?

Is there:

  • any way to force time sync?
  • any hidden menu or workaround?
  • or does this need some kind of factory image / service fix?

Would really appreciate any help. This thing was working perfectly before the update and now it’s basically unusable.

Thanks.

Are you able to disable time sync, manually set the time and maybe turn time sync back on?
