It might be that this was already requested, however, I try again.
I have a denon sc live 4, and I love it. I am interested if we can add a MIDI Clock send via USB, so I can send a tempo signal via USB to (in my case) a Roland TR8S.
Then I would send via AUX samples, FXs and so on via the TR8s and would be Tempo sync-ed without the use of Ableton Link/Computer.
Its a standalone afterall. This would be so amazing feature.
Thank you up front and wishing you the best for this Holiday season.
I can’t see why not as the X1850 can send a MIDI signal, including MIDI Clock and control messages via both the 5-pin DIN MIDI output and over its dual USB ports. So go vote for that request for sure.. Side note, I’m using the XONE Px5 for that…. MIDI signal from mixer to the TR-8S and subsequent Aria’s down the chain.
Manufacturers need diversity in their product portfolio . If not, then the Nokia Cellphone curse takes over, where there’s a 3210, a 3220, a 3321 etc etc and they all do the same things, the consumer can’t work out, on the face of it, why they should buy that Nokia over this Nokia , and ends up buying either the cheapest or some other brand altogether.
Possibly this poster may have purchased an x1850 instead of their choice, had they been thinking about midi over usb at the time of purchase/selection
I currently use TR8-S in sync with SC6000 Mprime and X1850 prime mixer. From the MIDI settings, you have to choose if you want to go with the clock output on 5 pin or usb. TR8-S has both options. I use 5 pin midi port and everything is ok.
