Micro connection on Denon Prime 4

Hello good afternoon everyone, I come to ask for an opinion from anyone who can help, I bought a Denon Prime 4 Plus and when I connect a microphone to the prime and when I go to test it starts to light up red on the controller and the sound comes out distrucicate I have already tried in the settings and nothing done in your opinion what should I do to use the microphone on the prime without the voice coming out districidal Thank you

More information please. What type of microphone?

Hello DjEric THANK YOU FOR THE ANSWER THE MICROPHONE IS WIRELESS

So you’re not connecting a mic, you’re connecting the receiver box - and you’re possibly connecting a line level output. Just a guess though, as you haven’t given enough information.

Mic input on this unit is designed for standard wired dynamic microphone. Your mic input is overloaded.

This is what happens when people working with audio have no understanding of levels and gain staging, which used to be “audio 101”. Ohms Law, Nyquist Theory and the Fletcher Munson curves, not to mention mic, line and speaker levels be DAMNED!!

Hi man!! Had you try to set in the mixer setup change the dbs for the micro?Âż

Changed mic input level on my prime 4 simply by replacing couple resistors.
