In a way early thread (2008) on their forum, they (MiK) said that it needs a internet connection to connect to the servers in order to the MiK algorithm to work.
Kinda funny if thats still the case today. 
I know when i run MIK my end with no internet access then it complains about contacting the servers. 
Can’t remember what for though - too many beers 
Did anybody find out what changes Denon made to cause the improvement?
