Having some trouble where deck 1/3 has lower volume than 2/4? Only ran into it today, all settings are fine and fader curve is where I’ve always had it. I’m on 5.0.1 and standalone. Tried all the settings but can’t get to the bottom of it. There seems to be crossfader bleed sometimes, I’m wondering has it something to do with that? Hoping someone in here can help? TIA
That sounds like either an issue with the internsl board and or components of the channels/crossfader are damaged i had a similar issue on my mixer and it was the channel pots i think they said and needed a whole new board to repair it
Was one of the settings “Gain” ?
Also, were there any indications that the filters may have been engaged?
Gains and fader curve are set to 12 ó clock. Filters off
Can you see the difference in level on the master level meters? You haven’t metioned what gear you are using. Does it have balanced main outputs?
Sorry, prime 4. Both levels are the same but the left side is audibly lower when the crossfader and fader curve are in the middle
Hopefully not the problem
Not being totally familar with the Prime 4, can you map layer 2 to the left and 4 to the right and see if the level is still different? If you set all input faders to thru (bypassing the crossfader), do you still have the problem?
SirReal comes with real advice ^ ^
If the crossfader set to through fixes the issue that means it has dirt on the tracks and needs to be cleaned or replaced.
When I put it on thru, everything is fine. I have bought a new innofader for it, I’ll see if that sorts the problem, if not, they have agreed to take it back and send a replacement
