Greetings.
I have the Numark Mixstream Pro Go and was looking at a YouTube tutorial showing how to create and load tracks on a playlist but the tutorial was showing an old version of engine dj. Everything on the tutorial was nothing like the current version of engine dj. Can you reply with a link to an updated tutorial showing how to create the playlist and loading tracks onto that playlist and play the playlist?
Thanks in advance.
Not sure if there is an updated tutorial but these are the basic steps to carry out.
-
Load engine on a laptop
-
Locate the mp3’s you want engine to analyze
-
Create a playlist or number of playlists in whichever way you want to organize your music in engine.
-
Drag the mp3 files into the playlists, engine will auto analyze the tracks and add bpm’s, beat grids, keys etc. (if you find the bpm or grid is wrong, check that you have the correct bpm ranges set in the preferences, then right click on a track and try reanalyze)
-
Once you have your playlists setup, insert a usb/sd card into the laptop and use the export manager to transfer the playlists over to the drive by ticking the playlists on the left hand list, or you can view the drive within engine and drag playlists over separately.
-
Plug into your mixstream and your playlists will be visible.
Hope this helps.

Hi Digital_Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I will use your method from my MacBook if I can’t find out how to do it directly from my Mixstream.
Here’s what I found out be experimenting. I was able to create and name a playlist from tapping the “Create a playlist” button. I can swipe to the left after locating an individual track and it will allow adding that track to the “Prepare” queue. After I did that for many of my tracks, I got stuck because I wanted to drag off the tracks in the prepare queue into my created playlist. If you can find out how to do that, it will be greatly appreciated.
