Hello, Yesterday during a set on my Prime 4, I encountered a corruption error in the internal hard drive library.
I had to restart, but I lost all my playlists.
Luckily, I had a backup USB drive with me to finish the set.
This is unacceptable for a brand of this size.
I’m seriously considering selling my Prime 4+.
Check your hard drive for errors first.

The number of complaints that exist with similar problems, I don’t think it has to do with errors in the drives.
Yup. That means the Database is corrupt and this happens when the DB is unreadable.
Do what you gotta do.
These devices are complex single purpose computers and errors happen across a multitude of devices. @Bobius_Yo is 100% spot on. It’s best not to assume anything and test as much as you can.
Your call if you want to give up.
That’s what I do as well. I use the T7 for gigs but also have a SD card as backup.
Luckily no failures as yet for me but these things can happen hence the backup library.
Im going to copy all the playlists again, and see how it works.
Although I’ve read about many similar situations. In two years of intensive use, this is the first problem I’ve had. Even so, it’s still a pretty serious problem.
Yes I agree, and it does happen to people randomly hence the fact I carry a backup database and drive.
Still does not seem to be completely resolved as yet.

Unfortunately, we’re stuck with exFAT and FAT32 file systems for our Engine OS performance drives. These are much more prone to corruption due to the lack of journaling.
