Hello community, I own a Denon Prime Go and I’m just in love with the unit! It’s a great piece of gear… But, since I upgraded to Engine OS 4.2 I’m having a constantly humm or discharge noise in the Left channel. Algo if I turn the master level knob it makes a clip sound. The same issue is in the Booth section.
I tried to downgrade the OS but that sound’s still there. I’m a really heavy user of this device and I would like to know if anybody else have the same issue and was able to repair it.
Do you hear this buzzing also in the headphone output when no speakers or cables are plugged into the back of the unit.
If this is the case it is possible that your unit has a bad internal ground problem and needs to be checked by the after sales service. I think this is not due to version 4.2, it is probably just a coincidence.
I noticed Saturday morning after stopping the music there was a white noise sounding hum in one of the club speakers. I didn’t think much about it at that time, just made a mental note to talk to the sound engineer but then forgot.
Tomorrow I’m going to the club and test to see if it was from my Sc Live 4, I’ll come back here with an update
You’re right about the upgrade, it was just a coincidence. Regarding the humm and buzzing it oonly sounds in the master Output (both of them) and in the Booth Output.
There’s also a problem with the master knob. When I turn up the volume it make also like a click and this makes a peak that is visible in the Left VU Meter.
I know of other users with exactly the same problem in their Go units and there’s no response yet about this issue.
