Serato performs better on MacOS. It is not a secret.

get a M1 the additional performance increase vs the additional price is not worth it. M1 is allready overpowerd and you might find a really good deal on the M1 models.
Doesn’t even need to be a Macbook Pro. My base model M1 Macbook air runs anything i throw at it just fine.
