Just wondering!

Is there any way to get together in a lawsuit with inmusic (engine os)??? like really this feels not fair at all???

Referring to the amount of trouble that this is causing to os.

In my gig today there was no way to do a song request. Engine is 5.x isn’t loading Apple Music tracks. When the guest where asking for there song I just said I apologize the only thing I can say is I’m using engine dj… 2 diferent gigs my standalone just reboot because yes. Most of this issues doesn’t happen in v4.3.4 but for me 4.3.4 is to slow scrolling between tracks. So just wondering.

My second option how wants a Denton sc live 4 like a new and how much do you offer???

Hi,

I can understand your frustration.

Going back to 4.3.4 is not an easy compromise, especially after getting used to the noticeably improved database and browsing performance in 5.0.x. While 4.3.4 avoids some of the newer issues, it also brings back limitations and bugs. I have experienced stability issues myself in the past, including an unexpected reboot while only a Zone playlist was running. Since there have also been reports of crashes and other stability-related problems from different users and on other platforms, I do not think these concerns should simply be dismissed.

That said, every setup seems to behave a little differently, which is probably one reason why some of these issues are proving difficult to reproduce and resolve.

What I would recommend is making sure the issue is formally reported to your dealer and to Denon support if you have not already done so. At the very least, it creates a documented history of the problem and gives the manufacturer more information to work with.

For now, all we can really do is hope that the upcoming updates address these issues and improve confidence in the platform again.

Lawsuit lol -

Next time a firmware update comes out - click on “ignore” or “later” for a few weeks until its stability is commented on.

From the point of view of evening things out though… I really think that InMusic should put a few extra instructions, or “advice points” on the firmware updates -especially- on the over-the-air (WiFi) updates about any operational considerations.

Eg; if the database that’s stored on your music drive is going to need 20 minutes to update the database or the album art etc per 1000 tracks in the database then this key fact should be mentioned in a pop up dialogue box with lots of “yes” or “I understand” click buttons

I read on social media last month that someone upgraded to 5.x during the buffet break at a wedding and wondered why track searching was sluggish for the next few hours - an explanatory click dialogue might have made that user think “maybe l leave the update until tomorrow when I’m not in the middle of a gig” if the operational considerations had been explained on-screen
