Just rebuilt my Engine DJ library

Just rebuilt my Engine DJ library as it wasn’t importing my playlists properly. Everything is now up and running but it doesn’t attach my 560+ GB of stems. The desktop knows there are stems there. Am I doing something wrong?

Are these stems made by engine dj or third party software?

Definitely by Engine

What do you mean “Doesn’t attach”?

I copied the stems folder back to the same position in the Engine DJ folder but the stems are not linking to the tracks.

It does not create those database links for you, if you rebuilt the database.

Oh no!

So I have to rebuild the whole stems folder again? It took ages

If the drive name was different, maybe there is the error?

Nope, same drive as before & no changes made at all

If you rebuild the DB, there is no association to songs loaded, ids of those songs (in the database) and stems extracted (tied to Ids of those songs in the Database). So yeah, you gotta start from scratch.

Thank you, I was hoping there was a way to link all the stems back to the files associated with them without having to rescan everything

I’m not aware of this being a possibility. :frowning:

The relinking “feature” needs a LOT of work.

Yeah. we can easily go down the rabbit hole about this issue. :frowning:

I’m thinking that the Library cleanup function could check the links and as well as checking for missing files would also cleanup any broken stems links and files which may have been deleted. Would also be nice if it automatically removed red files or at least list them so we could manually sort/delete ourselves
