Jog wheel seems to track inaccurately when scratching

I was unable to post this in the hardware area due to permissions.

I have been using my Prime 4 for a while now, but it seems that there is inconsistent acceleration on the right jog wheel while scratching. When it happens, i can put my hand on one place on the jog and make the scratching motion, and the track moves faster when pulling back vs pushing forward. This causes the track position to creep backwards in an unexpected and undesirable way. Scratching on the left jog works as expected.

This behavior is consistently manifested both running in standalone on engine DJ or while running as a controller for virtual DJ. It seems to depend on the jogwheel position, as if i rotate the platter about halfway, the scratching works as expected. could it be an issue with a lose sensor? I don’t know if the jog wheel tracking uses optical sensors or if there’s some other method, but it looks like about half the wheel causes the reverse direction to accelerate faster than the forward direction.

I can share a video if necessary
