Has anyone else had to send their SC6000 player back for repair and had it returned with the issue still present?
I have a fault with the jog wheel on one of my players which is stiff and feels like its making contact with something grinding even after set fully on the light setting on the wheel adjust. It feels like it’s grinding in the centre spindle and not smooth like the other player. Furthermore the vinyl mode doesn’t work at all and the white ring doesn’t illuminate when the platter is touched only when a considerable amount of pressure is applied. I think it is part of a faulty batch which has made their way though the system.
This problem was reported at the store I purchased at and also the service centre to which I was informed it had been fixed when in actual fact nothing had been done and still presented the issue it was sent off with.
My 12 month warranty was coming to an end and after several attempts to try and get the player sent off again for repair I was misinformed.
Spent all that money and cannot use it. I am sorry but I am Very disappointed with both in-music and the store I bought them at. I contacted in-music and got nowhere due to delays in correspondence with me as the warranty was coming to an end so never got it sent off a second time.
Because I had missed the stores returns policy window of 14 days due to working away it was sent off to the repair centre which did no repairs and the work sheet was blanc and not even filled in by the engineer who was supposed to be fixing it.
I made umpteen phone calls and emails and got nowwhere with it. They knew the warranty was coming to an end so they just delayed things. Everyone knew I couldn’t exchange and also nothing was done about the locked jog wheel.
I’m sorry to hear that Martin, unfortunately in - music no longer do repairs on Denon DJ products. I was told this some time ago here in the U.K.
The shop I bought My player from informed me the SC6000 was sent off for a repair to a service centre at the time in music were accepting warranty repairs. I was shocked it came back still exhibiting the original issue. Basically I was fobbed off. The player was clearly never repaired.
The player has never ever worked since buying it due to the jog wheel being extremely stiff, even on the soft setting so I was unable to use it, I was away working at the time they were delivered so the stores returns policy was over by the time I got back home so Couldn’t return them for an exchange, so I was given the option to return for a warranty repair instead.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t have the emails anymore as there was nothing I could do to get two new players as a replacement. I have taken one of the players to a recycling centre because It died.
