Issues with Scripts after Prime4 update to 4.0

Hello everyone, does anyone else have this problem?

I have updated my Denon Prime4 to version 4.0. After that, however, the Soundswitch scripts no longer work. Also the manual control of colors did not work - only white. The Hue lamps could not be controlled either.

I have now reinstalled version 3.4 and Soundswitch works as before.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I’ve not seen this myself.

Have you tried a factory reset when on 4.0 yet? You will have to put the settings back how you like them but it can help with some issues you may get.

Just check that the venue is selected on the Prime 4 too. An update may require setting something up again that previously worked.

Thanks for the tip. I have now done several things. But I don’t know what helped.

  1. reinstalled version 4.0
  2. reset to factory settings
  3. deleted complete library and re-synchronised with Soundswitch data (previously I had saved the Soundswitch script data manually on a second SSD)

Now it works again.

Well one of the three was definitely the solution so I’m glad they all worked.

Hopefully now you get get cracking with some light shows without any issues. Enjoy!

I must have rejoiced too soon. When I started my Prime4 today, I had the same problem again. No scripts were played. The position overrides and the colour white work, but nothing else. There were no changes from the last shutdown to today’s startup. I don’t know what to do and will downgrade to 3.4 again
