Is this a reasonable way to record compared to Audacity? (SC6000 + LC6000 + DN-X100)

So my current way to record is via a RCA-USB audio adapter. The USB plugs into my Mac and I record via Audacity.

I realised I could also plug this master output USB into my Google Pixel 4A, where I have the Dolby On app. It’s pretty useful because it records lossless audio and can upload straight to Soundcloud from the app. It also automatically applies a lot of (adjustable) FX when you stop the recording.

Anyone have any experience with recording like this? Is it completely blasphemous and I should go back to Audacity? Any advice is appreciated.

Regarding the sound quality there is probably no perceptible difference since you are using the same analog output on the mixer and the same USB audio interface (adapter thingy).

If it’s easier for you continue doing it, I would just beware of applying FX in that Dolby app since it is focused mostly on coloring the sound and not on quality.
