Is it possible to create presets for the Top / Mid / Bass?

This might seem an odd question and takes away the fun of controlling the blending of tracks but for the purpose of doing a recording and ensuring all levels are perfectly balanced to points that work best during a blended mix I wondered if it’s possible to predefine a number of presets on the Top / Mid / Bass on the Prime 4 which can just be clicked into place (overriding the defaults) and if so can this also be done on the Prime Go (I have both)

For example this is what some presets might look like:

Preset 1 (bringing in a new track)

Top = +1 Mid = 0 Bottom = -10

Preset 2 (full switch to the new track)

Top = +1 Mid = 0 Bottom = +10

There would obviously be more for certain stages of the mix in and mix out.

Is this something that is possible at all?

I would say definitely not possible, and highly unlikely to be added… but you can create it as a feature request and allow voting.

If you have issues with your recording levels, you can use something like Audacity to ‘normalise’ your mix afterwards… or the longer term fix of practise practise practise to nail those smooth mixes.

Moving out of the stems Beta discussion to standalone controllers.

The main challenge here would be that any override would result in a difference between the physical state of the knob and it’s mode. Anytime this happens, there is additional room for confusion or error. What happens if you turn a knob when a preset is active? Does it override the preset or not?

It’s an interesting idea, but I think the more you think about it, the more caveats appear.

I’d be most curious to see what the actual problem trying to be solved here is. Perhaps a better solution could be found if we worked back from actual workflow issue itself.

Completely the wrong approach to DJing, every track is different and will require different techniques depending on how you want to mix.
