🚀 Introducing Engine DJ 5.0 - On-Board Stems Rendering for the RANE SYSTEM ONE

Engine DJ today announced the launch of Engine DJ 5.0, available as a free update on Engine DJ OS embedded hardware and Engine DJ Desktop. Leading innovation for standalone DJ software, Engine DJ 5.0 delivers on-board Stems rendering for the RANE SYSTEM ONE along with RGB waveforms, track star ratings, FX improvements, and more to the entire Engine DJ hardware range.

“5.0 is packed with features,” said Director of Development at Engine DJ, Tom Stoffer. “Some are direct requests from our users, while others support the new open-format DJ workflows we’re introducing to Engine.”

ON-BOARD STEMS RENDERING FOR RANE SYSTEM ONE

Leveraging the power of Engine DJ’s FX, performance functions, and stems, RANE SYSTEM ONE launched earlier this year as the world’s first standalone system with motorized platters. Now, with Engine DJ 5.0, SYSTEM ONE drives innovation further as the first and only DJ hardware with the power to render stems without a computer.

New on-board stems rendering gives DJs access to 4-part Stems whenever and wherever inspiration strikes. DJs can choose to either pre-render their saved tracks for Stems with Engine DJ Desktop or render for Stems directly on the SYSTEM ONE. The Tracks can be played at the same time they are rendering for Stems, and multiple tracks and playlists can be rendered for stems simultaneously.

RGB WAVEFORMS FOR ALL ENGINE DJ HARDWARE

Initially introduced with the RANE SYSTEM ONE, multi-colored RGB waveforms now are available as an option for all Engine DJ hardware users. DJs can switch between RGB waveforms and the traditional “Triband” Engine DJ waveforms in the settings menu. RGB waveforms are also available on Engine DJ Desktop, providing greater visual guidance to DJs as they prep their sets on their computer.

TRACK STAR RATINGS

With Engine DJ 5.0, all users now can add star ratings for tracks directly on their Engine DJ hardware. This feature, combined with Engine DJ’s intuitive library sorting and filtering options, helps DJs find their go-to tracks quickly, no matter which playlist they live in.

ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE FEATURES

Reverb FX: New 32-beat options for Reverb Rise and Reverb Drop FX

Source Screen: New Source Screen experience with updated on-screen element and layout styling

Stems Demo Library: A collection of demo tracks pre-rendered for Stems offering immediate playability on Numark, Denon DJ, and RANE standalone hardware

Performance Improvements: Additional enhancements and performance improvements across the Engine DJ ecosystem

A full list of all the new features added with Engine DJ 5.0 can be viewed in the official Release Notes.

AVAILABILITY

Engine DJ 5.0 OS and Desktop are available now for free download at EngineDJ.com

Supported hardware users can download Engine DJ OS directly from their device via Wi-Fi or wired connection.

Congratulations to the team! This is a big one and y’all worked your butts off for this!

Thank you for another fabulous update!

Glad to be proven wrong. Thanks for all the hard work!

No mention of Djay pro support.

Well done team - exciting stuff

This should hopefully clear out certain complaints and concerns of some users.

And remember, even hardware released almost 10 years ago still benefit from this update (and not just in terms of stability, but also features). That’s far ahead of the competition, and would be even exemplary in the PC/Tablet/Smartphone market.

Edit: Small video I made, since all other reviewers seem to be heavily focused on the Rane One, I guess.

Exactly that… although I’d give it maybe an hour before someone logs in and threatens to throw their prime out the window, out of the crib, sells it and threatens to buy brand x because, whilst several absolutely massive features have been added, there was “nothing in it for me”

In reality and in the grown-up world, this update should keep everyone happy for the rest of 2026

I want to express my gratitude and respect to InMusic for continuing to release software updates for hardware that is nearly 10 years old (the SC5000 was released in January 2017).

InMusic sets a great example for a lot of other companies of how things should be done. I recently bought two NEW SC6000s, and I wasn’t worried at all about InMusic dropping support for them. Even so, this update was unexpected.

Thank you! :folded_hands:

BTW, I got the firmware update notification during tonights livestream LOL

Ahahahahahahahaha

Cool cool cool cool update ! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thanks so much!

Magnificent work! Congratulations to the whole team!

Definitely a nice update. Cheers to the team for all their hard work :+1:

The update is great, glad to see that we can now prepare streaming tracks. Are we able to create a playlist from this prepare list and save it or do I lose the list as soon as I turn the deck off?

Can someone please clarify what exactly does the new pitch bend mode do? I only noticed a difference when using the pitch bend buttons, but not the jog wheel

Well done all involved! Also appreciate the very clear release notes!

Thank you very much, a wonderful job has been done, congratulations to the team, you are fantastic, thank you inmusic, you are an example of how even devices that are almost 10 years old are supported.

Nicely done Denon DJ!!

The best just keeps getting better!!

Oh no if this is true I won’t update yet as well. Did you try updating the firmware of the LC6000 manually?
