Internal Drive not showing on PC

I’ve been using my prime 4 for about 3 years now and loving it. I have a I TB SSD installed for internal memory and I haven’t had any problems with it ever. After updating to 4.0 the drive isn’t being recognized by my PC. I’ve tried shutting down my PC and restarting it, redownloading Engine DJ, as well as checking connections to no avail. Has anyone seen anything like this or have a fix I’m overlooking?

Maybe stupid suggestion, but is your Prime 4 in standalone mode when connecting to PC?

did u connect your prime 4+ with window or mac?

Welcome to the forums!

Assuming you’re on Windows, have you tried to open up the Disk Management tool to see if the external USB device is even registered? That might give you a clue as to what’s going on. If the Device is present, and not mounted, the file system may be dirty.

before u remove ur prime to the pc did u safely remove it or u jst unplug the cable from ur pc?

AKA Unmount, Eject

Yea… thank you all for the help with this. I’ve done it 100 times, but I forgot to put it in computer mode. I was using my computer as the source thinking it was the same thing. Boneheaded but hey
