Hi everyone, I can no longer move songs or change their position in the playlist. I use Windows 11, have a 64GB Intel i7, 2TB SSD, and ENGINE DJ 5.0. I even tried downgrading from version 5.0 to version 4.3.4, but nothing changed. Does anyone have any suggestions for solving this problem? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
Did you sort by the # (number) column? If it’s sorted by another column you can’t reorder tracks in a playlist.
And if you’re talking about adding new songs into a playlist, is it a regular playlist or a smartlist?
Thanks for your reply. Yes, the list is sorted by number #. This issue occurs with existing playlists; if I create a new playlist, the problem doesn’t happen. I have two PCs running Engine DJ 5.0 on Windows: if I create a playlist on one PC, it cannot be edited on the other, but if I create a new playlist and copy the files over, I am able to move the files around, and the same applies in reverse.
Are you copying over the host database files between PCs?
Try rightclicking on the engine dj app, select run as administrator, check if that works. If that´s the case, then it´s a security setting in win 11. There´s a few ways to work around this. Issue is not tied to engine dj as per se, but task managment in win 11 after a few security patches.
