I can't create STEMS in Engine DJ and I could before

Hello everyone!

I’m writing because I’m encountering a problem generating STEMS from EngineDJ.

I have a Denon Prime 4 all-in-one controller, which I registered on the InMusic platform in March of this year (although I’ve had it since 2021).

On the controller, I’m logged in with the same profile I have registered on InMusic.

I have everything updated to the latest version (4.3.2 for Prime 4, which launched this morning, and 4.3.0 for EngineDJ on Windows).

I purchased the STEMS expansion in March of this year, and everything has worked perfectly, with no issues.

A week ago, I reformatted my PC, reloaded EngineDJ (driver and software) onto the computer, and everything is detected perfectly. The songs are transferred to the internal hard drive I have installed inside the Prime 4, and everything else is great.

But… the problem comes when I try to create STEMS from EngineDJ! I select “create STEM” on any song, and now I get a message asking me to select a link to repurchase the STEMS extension if I want it to work, even though I’ve already purchased it! Specifically, it’s this message:

“Would you like to download Engine Stems support? For more information and to see which devices are compatible, please visit: Professional DJ Software | Engine DJ

I’m logged in and registered correctly, etc.

The only explanation I can see is that, after formatting the computer and purchasing the STEMS extension, it installed some files on the PC. Since it’s now a clean PC, it can’t find these files and doesn’t detect the purchase of STEMS. But I’m not sure, and I don’t know how to solve this problem.

Can you please help me with this problem? It’s very frustrating to have purchased this product and now EngineDJ won’t detect it as purchased so I can get it working, even though I’ve been using it without any problems until before formatting the computer and I’m very happy with the tool so far.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to your responses. Let’s see if we can find a solution within the community!

Best regards!

I’m not in front of my PC to give you better directions but there is an option in the settings menu somewhere to download the libraries for creating stems.

Thank you so much for responding! I’ve attached an image of my current configuration in Engine. If you look closely, under “Add Stems Support,” when I click “Add,” the text I wrote earlier in the post appears, and it redirects me to repurchase the stems. Engine configuration.pdf (1.0 MB)

Hello, the picture shown is just to show the stems menu, you don’t need a license for anylizing stems on desktop it’s only needed on the standalone hardware, so all you do is press the activate stems button and it will work at least on Mac

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks for responding! I’m not taking your word for it, but when I click on “activate Stema,” I get the message I mentioned at the beginning of the post, which asks me to buy Stema again.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say that I’ve already solved this problem myself. I’ve been searching for Engine posts and found a post detailing how to get Stems working again by downloading a file and saving it to a folder named “bin” within the Engine installation path. I tried it and… magic! Everything is working again.

I’m attaching the page in case it helps anyone.

Best regards!
