How would you rate Stems?

How would you rate Stems? The Stems are finally launched, but the quality is very poor. Including poor sound quality and incorrect analysis, Test a lot of music, the drum kit will be analyzed into Bass, So when you cancel the fourth pad, the drum sound still exists~~ But when you cancel the third pad, the drum sound is isolated

Provide some examples of these tracks so people can test it themselves. Artist and track name etc.

Was thinking earlier it would be good to get some demonstration of the stems quality prior to the rollout on 11th December so people can decide if it’s worth paying for or not.

i think there are already plenty of examples on youtube. Mojaxx did some comparison and some others to. Some Genres are better some are not as good. But the reviews are more on the good site. Lets see what it brings, probably many users give some reports.

The best stems are on Virtual Dj with 5 different types : Vocals, instruments Bass Drums Highhats

Now Denon Dj has to improve them a bit

The problem with stems though is that you would have to render your tracks all over again for the improvement, so that’s why it’s essential to get it right first time.

Saying that the difference between the V1 and V2 VirtualDJ stems really is night and day.

I don’t know how you use stems in practice. I take out the instruments + bass on some tracks - that’s enough for me and the audience to change passages, sometimes just solo vocals. And then mute the vocals to sing along.

For me, the quality is completely sufficient for that - comparable to Serato.

But it certainly varies from track to track - the more complex the arrangement, the more work for the algorithm.

Maybe it helps when the algoritme is trained for certain genres. Maybe this is ready detected. I used spleeter, and worked back then better on accoustic Instruments/tracks than on techno or house. I have not heard the denon Stems yet…

The Denon Stems are not too bad in all honesty. Some songs do work better than others. And i will say VDJ stems are probably the best right bow. But its way better than the competition’s first iterations.

I do wish there was a way that allowed for your own packing, as i have a few studio quality stems that woule be nice to use
