Hello! I have a denon prime 4 at home and have gotten used to a streaming workflow. a lot of my playlists are in my soundcloud. i play at a bar often that has a denon aio and a random dj was caught playing songs from my soundcloud playlists because i forgot to factory reset .-. is there another way to remove my user profile from engine os?
Well this is actually very funny situation for me, it looks like you donât need to do âhard factory resetâ just log off from your profile in settings when someone using your controller without permission. if you are also producer make sure to cover your pendrive in your pocket, just to make sure if another dj donât steal your records lol
Hi @vanyll,
I you want to remove your user profile from Engine OS on a Denon Prime 4, go to the âUser Profilesâ section in the settings menu, select your profile and choose âDelete Profileâ. Alternatively, perform a factory reset by holding down the âEjectâ button while turning on the unit, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Thanks
You can also quickly log out of the streaming service by opening Soundcloud (or streaming source) on your device and pressing the cog in the very bottom left corner. Thereâs a logout option there.
You can logout of your Engine profile too by selecting the logout option in the profile area (pulling down from the top). Youâll see your name at the top of the profile screen with the logout option next to it.
Factory reset can be done from the Settings > About screen and scrolling to the bottom where youâll see the factory reset option.
Thanks! I just had a really hard time finding where i can log off because engine os has so many menus and settings so i gave up and started using factory reset as a workaround i really thought there wasnât another way to do it but yeah i see the log out button now XD i can swear it wasnât there before hahahaha. the bar has their own denon setup btw which i was playing on. also is there a way to remotely log out / remove my profile from denon gear?
No worries
Go here: https://enginedj.com/account then once logged in go to the top left menu. Youâll see âAuthorised Devicesâ where you can disconnect your gear from there.
Also you can de-link a streaming service from your account if youâve used this to log into all your accounts.
