Maybe I’m being really dumb here but I can’t find a way of removing a track from a playlist whilst leaving it in the actual overall collection. There’s no “remove from playlist” option I can find.
Am I missing something really obvious here?

Mmmmm… I have to check, but I remember from memory that there was that possibility.
Lately I no longer use playlists but only Smartlists which are more useful to my way of working, so I haven’t had that need.
Have you tried pressing the DEL key when you highlighted the track to delete from the playlist?
I see that you are trying to delete the track from the playlist you have on your console. Try deleting the track from the playlist you have on your main collection, that is, the one on your computer. See if you get the option to delete the track from the playlist.
Tried both and still no option. Delete key does nothing either.
I can remove from playlist on the Prime Go+ itself in edit mode but surely this function must exist on the PC software too.
You’re in the Drives view. You need to go to the Engine Library view.
However, I fail to see why it wouldn’t be in Drives view either…
Thanks, had a look again this morning and it worked. Why the difference though?
Seems strange you can delete in one are but not the other.
Also you can add to a playlist on a prime device itself but not remove. Again illogical.
i believe at inception / conception, the playlist in your performance drive is meant to be a copy of your libraries playlist. That way when the DJ finishes djing with the playlist on device, dj can sync back perfomance data to the source playlist easily.
creating / editing playlist on the device came about following feature request to do so. There are current known limitations even for this because playlists created/edited on device are not synced back to main library collection.
OK thank you. I’m probably not understanding fully how Engine works however I’ll remember this for the future.
No worries.
The software continues to morph based on user feedback, company goals etc.
if there is something you would like to see added, check the feature request section first and vote / start a request …no guarantees though.
