how to record your sessions

Hi all. Does anyone know how to record your sessions with the sc6000 and the x1850 mixer? I have to do it through an external sound card because if I connect the audio outputs directly to my PC, some very annoying buzzes and noises are heard and it cannot be recorded like that in any way. The ideal thing is that the denon ones include the record option to record the sessions as in the prime 2 and prime 4 controllers. If someone knows how to be able to record with good sound quality, let me know, because I use the mixer’s xlr outputs and I connect them to a berhinger sound card, and then this external card connected via usb to my pc. Thank you

You could use an Evermix box (or similar) which is great!

Just use the USB connection and record stereo channel 9+10. The mixer is an audio card for your computer by itself.

I just bought a Reloop Tape 2 for recording my sets. I just received it so still need to test it

I use an external TASCAM audio recorder connected to the master/record audio RCA out.

I bought an Olympus LS10 years ago. These little digital audio recorders are very useful gadgets.

This is how I’ve always done it and it works well for me. USB from the mixer to USB in on your computer. It should see the mixer as a sound card and you can record from that.

I had similar issues but managed to solve them. First, check your sound settings in both the mixer and your OS. The sampling rate and bitness must be same (96khz 24 Bit, 48khz 16 bit or 44khz 16 bit). Please mind to configure each channel. In windows there are following recording devices: Line 1/2 to Line 9/10 plus multichannel input and following output devices: Line 1/2 to Line 7/8 plus the x1850 “speaker” (not sure how it is displayed in english). Second, check the sampling rate in your recoring software. If all these settings are ok but sound is still not ok, check your USB cable / use another one. Your cable might be damaged or incompatible. When I used a USB 3 extension cable connected to the USB 2 cable that came with the mixer, sound was distorted. So don’t mix USB cables. However a USB hub in between might work: I have the mixer connected to an external USB 3 hub via an USB 2 cable. The USB hub is connected to the PC via a 5 m long USB 3 cable.

Now I have no trouble recording with Audacity and an x1850. I used also an old external sound card (Traktor A6) but I prefer the x1850 because it does not cut the frequency.

If you have an iPhone you can directly record from the x18xx usb into GarageBand.

Which Tascam model do you use please?

It’s discontinued. Here is the new model. Tascam
