How to hook up reloop rp8000mk2 turntable in hid mode to Denon Prime

I currently have my reloop turntable wired by usb cable and rca jacks. I seen where rane 12mk2 could be hooked up hid mode using only the usb cable and not the rca jacks. I want to use the reloop rp8000mkw to control deck 4

Unfortunately this will not work.

Prime software (engine DJ hardware) is only open to the Denon lc6000.

Other 3rd party controllers will not work just by plugging in. You can not map within it like other DJ software.

PC or Mac version (engine DJ desktop) is for only audio management to assist Engine DJ hardware

@Zaki_Torrence the Rane 12 is a controller. The platter on your Reloop turntable doesn’t send HID control signals. It’s just a turntable (with a few MIDI buttons over USB).

What’s up @Zaki_Torrence,

That’s the required configuration for the RP8000’s:

  • USB = Sends midi trigger info from touchpads on the turntable
  • RCA = Sends vinyl timecode data

No timecode data travels via the USB.

The Rane TWELVE is different where you have the option either to connect RCA (it sends timecode data that way) and USB (touchpad info) OR as an HID controller (sends platter movement and touchpad info via USB)

I hope this helps!
