How to adjust master volume in Serato on SC Live 4?

Hey, I try to use serato in computer mode on 3.3.0 on my SC Live 4, but I have peaks on my tracks. Main Vol knob is not working in Serato mode at all and only Trim/Gain knobs (I use it) but I think Master vol knob is doing nothing

I don’t think you can control Serato master volume or track gain by default with any controller.

If you want to, you can map it to your controller but you really need to know what you are doing once you start mapping Master Volume/Channel Gain.

Use the autogain function

Use Auto Gain

As part of the overview building process, Serato DJ automatically calculates an auto gain value for each track. This value represents the gain adjustment required to match the perceived loudness of the track to a reference level. If the Use Auto Gain option is checked, each time a track containing auto gain data is loaded to a deck, the track gain knob will be set to a value that matches the level of audio in the track to the reference value selected from the drop down list to the right.

The drop down list allows you to select from 89dB (quieter) to 98dB (louder), however 92dB (default setting) is the recommend value.

Some entry controllers do control serato master volume with the master knob. It’s a shitty solution since it means you cannot touch master volume during recording of your set.

Other controllers with hardware controlled master volume usually do not even send midi for master volume knob, precisely to avoid issues.

Thank you. I’ve set this setting, but was wondering if there is anything more

If you have manually adjusted some tracks gain in Serato, that adjustment is saved for that track and everytime you load that track, that manual gain level is used irrespective of autogain.

You can reset it to autogain levels
