hi, I have no DJ hardware but I downloaded engine DJ as recommended by betaport. I love engine DJ, and is way better than most any other mix sw, free or pro. (I’ve tried most of them in last few days). I have a beatport stream subscription, but so far I’ve been unable to determine how to access beatport witrhout a controller. Is this at all possible?
Engine DJ is not “mix software” like VirtualDJ, Rekordbox DJ, Serato DJ, Traktor etc.
It’s just a music library and database system for use with Prime hardware.

Hi, I would like to get back to this topic, since last year a lot has changed in the world of DJing and music integration. I am with you Steve, but my ask is slightly different. Since Engine software is for music preparation, then I would love to see the ability to connect to Beatport and prepare Libraries and Tracks in there with Cue Points and Loops, beat grids etc… before loading or syncing to my Denon hardware. I think this will be a killer feature to start, so Engine can compete better with the rest. And as a next develoment, creat a full featured Engine OS preparation app, not to DJ from, but to be able to manage owned and Beatport offline music on the go, while moving from gig to gig. When I get to the venue, I just plug my phone as a USB drive and read from my Engine App library files. @Denon… can you please make this happen? Thank you for listening to us!!
