Powered on the 1850 this afternoon for some bouncy goodness and the top screen has decided to go postal.
Oh no …
I hope that you can get it fixed. And maybe the info from this post is useful:
Good luck!
There was a dud batch of screens. Mine was replaced under warranty and it died again. The wait was unreasonably long so the mixer was replaced.
Don’t let anyone tell you different, I have lost the email but there is a batch of screens that are not any good at all.
All the best
LMAO, mine died a few days ago, too. And just as the warranty expired, what a shame.
Unfortunately all of the Denon suppliers in my country listed on their website were either out of business or no longer serving Denon DJ/InMusic, so I had to ask the customer experience team for replacement parts. Luckily the fact that their website had no valid dealers in my country meant I was able to at least request a quote from the InMusic customer support and I am still waiting for the final price and payment instructions.
@lerk that’s a bummer.
A replacement screen can be purchased here however i don’t know if this is the top or bottom screen.
I disassembled the 1850 last night down to the main circuit boards although i didn’t go as far as the LCDs to get the part number, the sheer volume of screws is something to behold
I was disappointed by the state of the boards which have a residue, which i presume being flux covering the entire surface.
I might do a teardown and document it when i am off next week, don’t know how useful it would be.
According to InMusic/DenonDJ support the screens are the same for both sides. Unfortunately I will have to pay ~$200 for one display if I order on that site (postage & customs, then fees for customs, etc.) that’s why I went with directly ordering through InMusic (since their shop finder can’t find shops in my country but they have an HQ there).
I think a video or pictures of the disassembly process would be very helpful, I’m planning to document it as well when the replacement parts arrive.
@lerk Someone listed a generic cheaper screen part not long ago on the forum. Let me see if i can find it.
Found It!
There ya go

If you decide to repair it by yourself, the disassemble steps are exactly the same like the replacement of the fades.
Here is the post to see most of the steps:
On the last pictures you see the small cable sticking out of the plastic top panel.
And the replacement has arrived, that wasn’t too shabby coming from China to Ireland, 11 days.
Might order a couple of spares.
And seeing as the mixer is currently in a state of disassemble, I may as well fit it tonight.
Nice one! How much did it set you back?
Which one did you get?
Was it a plug and play situation?
I wonder what would happen if one gets the touch screen edition
I went with the one from Ali Express, first time I have actually used them and it cost 12 euro.
Fitting it was extremely straight forward.
