This is an indeed not a great implementation, afaik one could just use Apples framework for HFS+ devices on Macs, so Engine DJ on Macs would work with HFS+ Drives. Windows users won’t care anyway… I think at least this part should be done, as it costs near to nothing and should be easy as far as my understanding goes.
I’m guessing there is a serious problem writing back library information to HFS+, since it’s apple proprietary and hard to incorporate into 3rd party products. Is this actually possible and likely, considering that and the substantial cost in licensing fees inMusic would have to pay to Apple (probably?)
