Help connect prime 4 soundswitch

Hello, I have some questions about the configuration, I see in videos that people do the configuration without a PC, they only connect the lights by DMX to the PC, then another that they connect separately, the prime 4 by ethernet cable, my question is, I have a cable blue that goes via USB to the PC, is Ethernet another way to connect to the PC? It confuses me to see different ways of connection and configuration. greetings

It does not detect the SD card with the saved project, what could happen? It detects it for the songs, but it does not detect it for loading the lights project in soundswitch.

  1. If you want to use it with desktop soundswitch then you need the Ethernet cable

No need for USB cable in that set up

Connect your soundswitch hardware to the laptop directly

  1. USB cable if you want to use it with Serato and Soundswitch desktop.

No ethernet cable needed for this set up.

Connect soundswitch hardware directly to the laptop.

  1. In Desktop mode, DO NOT switch to engine lighting mode on the prime4.

I’m getting confused with so many different ways, I want to clarify that I use a Prime 4+, and here I see a video that does it without an Ethernet cable, which way and mode is the easiest to use soundswitch with Prime 4? thank you

Edito: So the first 4th only way to use soundswitch to create and export a project is only with an Ethernet cable, the USB B cable that the controller comes with is only for other procedures?

What do you have to work with with ?

So far I can tell

You have a Prime4

I’m guessing you also have a laptop/computer

Do you have the Soundswitch hardware such as the control one or the usb to DMX dongle

I use a prime 4+, I have a laptop yes, and dmx soundswitch, so it is not possible to configure soundswitch using the usb b cable? I only have to use the Ethernet cable, nothing can be configured without connecting the Prime 4 to the PC, and managing the export and saving from Soundswitch from the PC and the SD inserted in the PC like the video I posted? That’s why I’m confused, and I wanted to do it in the simplest way. thank you

The simplest way I think is to use

  1. Use Engine Lighting. You only need the laptop to prepare the light shows, add fixtures etc

If you use Engine Desktop software and sync manager, go to settings on the Engine DJ software (laptop) and enable Engine Lighting export.

This will do the project export automatically to the USB/SD/SSD
