Headphones and Master not Synchron

My headphones and my master audio are not in sync. My headphones are a few milliseconds ahead of the master output. The bass kicks and then shortly after on the speakers. Is there a setting on the Prime4+ to hear the music in sync?

I’m connected to a small speaker using the unbalanced out. Could that be causing the issue?

Kind regards

Hi, what make and model is the speaker?

Soundcore2 Connect via Cinch to AUX

I have no Chance at time. Test Whit Others

Ok so most Bluetooth speakers will have a delay, even when connected via the aux input, it’s down to the internal circuitry on the speaker.

You really need to be investing in some good quality DJ specific speakers if you don’t want lag. Speakers with a balanced input are the best option.

Thanks, pro. I will try tomorrow or Monday with the Hercules DJSpeaker 32 — the cheapest option I can try at the moment. I’ll report back if the problem is solved."

Kind Regards

Yeah those should work fine if you’re on a budget.

Do you have any existing hifi equipment? I started my dj life plugging my decks into a Bose wave radio

As Stu has already mentioned, avoid Bluetooth , for all things DJing really.

The other thing to avoid is speakers with Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), as these add delays to the sound output too. Unfortunately DSPs are often used to make cheap speakers sound like better speakers so they can be difficult to avoid at the cheaper end of the market

Google’s AI tells me “The Anker Soundcore 2 exhibits latency, particularly when connected via Bluetooth, with a delay of around 200ms, and a 30ms delay when connected via AUX”

To me it seems a bit strange to spend nearly £2000 on a Prime 4+ then connect it to a £20 speaker. :man_shrugging:

Thanks everyone, it’s solved and today we had a 7-hour party :partying_face:

Stay pumped, DJs!
