- Proprietary “Sonic Link” radio transmitter & receiver | 9hrs
- Also does bluetooth for enabled devices | 30 hrs
- HDJ-F10-TX | $499USD the flagship model, has wireless transmitter & receiver
- HDJ-F10 | $389USD headphones & coiled wire
9ms ain’t bad!
9ms ain’t bad!
500 quid however
I’ll stick with me HD25s with coiled cable.
When these were reviewed as having 9ms latency with SonicLink, I went and checked what they’d claimed for the Wave-Eight speakers…
Pioneer’s support area claims SonicLink has 15ms latency.
[rhetorical questions] Is this a new improved version then? If this transmitter is used with the Wave-Eights do I get 9ms or 15ms? Using the headphones alongside the speakers, they won’t be in sync?
That new AZ controller appears to have SonicLink built in.
No better, another overpriced plastic product from AT.
An AIAIAI TMA-2 wireless certainly does as well for less and is also completely modular.
Given the interest it brings, I’m sticking with my good old wired headset.
release date 2025
studio wireless is 16ms latency
i think its different from the speakers soniclink
they say its not interchangeable.
AlphaTheta/pioneer offering a new way of wasting money ? No surprise there then.
As an alternative suggestion… take 500 bucks, buy this 10 buck, 5 metre headphone extension lead and keep 490 bucks for yourself.
Well that’s a terrible decision. Two products with the same name, and they’re not compatible. What?!
Down the rabbit hole with non-standard, proprietary implementations. I hope the gamers drive us to low-latency bluetooth sooner than later.
I don’t understand! Is there really a need for wireless headphones? And then every time I get home I have to charge them! If I forget I can’t use them and I have to wire them!!
I agree with you on this. Why is it needed? How far from the booth do we need to be? Extension cable or take them off…let’s be real, im sure that most of us these days dont use them that much anyway, we can visually see everything on the screens!
I still use mine the same way I always did, but I bought a coiled cable for my HD-25s and never have an issue with them, it stretches far enough.
The fact there is no compatibility between them and the speakers is an absolute joke. Literally fleecing money off people.
could be due to different latency speeds - headphones vs speakers.
who knows.
Very true, although I’m more inclined to think $$$$$
Either way the receiver should have been made in such a way that only one was ever needed per setup, dual band or something.
They’ve made the headphones available now, and the transmitter will follow - but how many will buy them thinking they can use the transmitter they already bought?
Also the AZ has apparently got SonicLink built in. Will it work with the speakers and the headphones?
[shrug]
Goodness It makes my cringe to think that there are lot of people / BT headphone users who don’t actually realize they are cooking there brains!!!
Would you strap a radiation device to your head??? Hummm perhaps not. Would you strap two modems to your head, and think thats ok? Humm perhaps not…
I would educate yourself on wireless technology before accepting it, just because you can buy it and they sell it, doesn’t make it safe or good for you!!!
Seriously people educate yourself s…
Trouble sleeping?, concentrating?, focusing?, Frequent headaches?
Hummm funny that…
Someone who uses Bluetooth headphones for around 8/9hrs per day
Of course they test these things first:
Like I stated education is the key!!
