Garbled audio from X1800 to Behringer uca222

The audio from the X1800 to Behringer uca222 sounds mega distorted and garbled in OBS.

My current set up is like this:

Laptop with OBS, connected to X1800 via Behringer uca222.

(I know I can do streaming via USB but I’m using two laptops - one that contains music / VirtualDJ, and the other with OBS / web cams)

Thank you for your help.

You know your mixer has 2 usbs to hook up 2 computers right.

Laptop specs pls.

And how loud is your usb output set and how loud is the obs input set?

Reduce the input volume of the sound card in windows sound settings. i think mine is 50% or less.

Thank you. I’m really useless with this stuff, how would I set that up?

Specs… It’s a new gaming laptop, 16gb ram, nvidia graphics card, 6 processors.

Good question. I’ve tried different volumes, doesn’t make that much difference.

Thank you. It didn’t make any difference.

It’s probably due to the buffer size on the streaming laptop. Try increasing the buffer size greater than 600 in the asio panel.

If you are a 4 deck virtual dj then it would be best to stick with your original method. If you only need at the most 3 decks then you can use both laptops via the mixer.

To use the mixer for both laptops requires you to give up ch 1. Use usb1 for obs laptop and usb2 for the VDJ laptop.

VDJ can broadcast directly - no need for OBS.

Thank you for that! I’m so sorry, I have another stupid question.

Where do I find the asio panel?

You’re right, I’m hoping to use 4 decks.

VDJ is on a second laptop, I’m keeping my music source and obs separate so I can add webcams and visuals to the live stream.

You can do all that in VDJ too.

Wasn’t sure if a 2017 MacBook Air could handle it.

You can but try.

I’m running Resolume for background graphics, webcam and chromakey, feeding into VDJ via Spout. In VDJ I play audio and sometimes video, then add graphics and text overlays via the sampler, pad scripts and video skins, whilst broadcasting directly to Twitch. All on one laptop (Alienware M15 R6).

The Behringer uca222 is a toy that distorts the sound from any source.

I have the 202, worked fine for streaming.

And my ass to be smashed. She’s been lying for over four years because she was sneezing

Does it have a fan? If not I wouldn’t use it for both.

Did you find the asio panel for your sound card on the windows machine yet? I’m still thinking that it a buffer issue.

It’s best to use 2 computers and if you only want to use one get an ATEM mini pro. It’s what I use now.

I’m trying to figure out why everybody is using extra external interfaces for obs. My audio and video was going into OBS wirelessly with another camera attached to the laptop.

That’s a good point, thank you, it doesn’t have a fan.

Nah don’t have a clue where it is, searched but all I find is the install file.

Did you install the drivers for your audio interface?
